Shelton Redistricting Plan Approved

The Board of Education approved a redistricting plan Thursday that will shift about 200 students throughout the city elementary schools. 

The plan approved Thursday is a modified version of an earlier draft proposal that took into account some parent feedback and tried to keep the school sizes as equal as possible, said Assistant Superintendent Lorraine Rossner.

VIDEO: Shelton Parents Weigh In On Redistricting Proposal

The Board of Education held its second of three informational sessions on a redistricting proposal for the city’s elementary schools Thursday night. 

About 50 parents attended, and asked questions of board members and shared concerns about the plans, which would directly affect 281 students.
