Constantine (Gus) J. Klarides, age 57, of West Palm Beach, FL., formerly of Oxford, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.

He was born in New Haven on November 15, 1960, beloved son of Eleanor Tolbert and the late James Klarides.

Gus attended local grammar school and then matriculated to the Gunnery in Washington, CT.

He continued his education at Clark University and graduated from the University of Miami in 1984. Gus was a commercial realtor and built prideful business relationships with many large corporations.

He was passionate for sports, especially golf which he mastered beginning at the very young age of 6.

As a devoted fan, he loyally stood by two Boston teams, the Celtics and the Red Sox. His life-long passion for basketball inspired many as he served as not only a coach for many years but a mentor to young children in the valley.

Gus will be sadly missed by his family and many friends and will remain forever in our hearts.

His loving family includes his cherished children C.J., Nicholas and Lisa Ann, his devoted mother Eleanor, his beloved sister Karin, his cousins, friends and his greatest companion, dog Rocco. Gus was predeceased by his loving father Jim and his beloved sister Lisa.

Private services were held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia.

Memorial gifts in Gus’s memory many be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Shelton, 1 Positive Pl, Shelton, CT 06484 or online at BGC-LNV.org.

The Miller-Ward Funeral Home of Seymour is compassionately caring for the family.
