The Shelton, Derby, Ansonia, and Seymour Police Departments have completed the annual Click It or Ticket campaign from November 9, 2010 through November 18, 2010.
The departments combined to issue 314 infraction tickets to people who failed to wear their seat belt. Five additional infraction tickets were issued for other motor vehicle related offenses.
While the official Click It or Ticket campaign is over, officers will still be out strictly enforcing the motor vehicle laws, especially seat belt violations, this holiday season.
Drivers are reminded that voluntary compliance with the law is always preferred rather than by issuing a ticket.
