Dear Residents of the Great City of Ansonia,
A few months ago, the Ansonia Library approached City Hall about converting an underutilized room on the upper level of the building into a fresh, new Teen Center. As your Alderman, I couldn’t have been more excited for such a concept.
Throughout my early life, our library has provided me with countless wonderful and interactive learning experiences and has inspired a lifetime of learning.
When I caught wind that our beloved library needed help creating a space for the teens in our city where they too could enjoy all the same experiences that I had, I immediately jumped to action.
Our board, consisting of members such as Jeff Sweeney, Rich DiCarlo, Giovanni Nicolia, David Papcin, John Marini, myself, your third-ward Alderman along with the library have created an event not only to help raise funds to create this new space for our youth, but blend pop culture and literature all together.
Ansoni-Con is the latest entry into the culture that our town has to offer, and we hope it soon becomes a staple in our great city!
The event will occur on Saturday, October 19th from 11am-5pm at the Ansonia Armory, and admission is Free! There will be many offerings from different vendors, activities, and attractions across a variety of topics. All revenues generated from this event will go directly into the Library’s new teen center. I cannot wait to see the finished product.
I hope to see all of you there, as I think this is something we can all enjoy, for such a great cause. And if you would like to keep seeing such positive things to continue to happen in our city remember to vote November 5th straight across row B for Mayor Cassetti, myself, my partner Joe Cassetti and the rest of our team!
