We welcome back Marian O’Keefe, DHS Board Emeritus, and Town of Seymour Historian, to present the “Bradley Slides Revisited.”
These slides are from the Sen. Henry M. Bradley Jr. collection. Bradley was the author of the historical articles covering Derby, Ansonia, Shelton and Seymour in the 1935 Pictorial History book of the Lower Naugatuck Valley.
With your donation of $45 or more to our 29th Annual Appeal, you will receive a delicious meal that includes stations for appetizers, such as cheeses, fresh and dried fruit, gourmet crackers, and assorted stuffed bread. Guests also receive a dinner buffet consisting of chicken marsala, penne a la vodka, mixed seasonal roasted vegetables, roasted potatoes, field green salad, rolls, and dessert. Coffee, tea, soda, juice, and water are included.
A cash bar is also available.
The Derby Historical Society is pleased to announce that Marian O’Keefe is both the presenter and the recipient of the Dr. John Ireland Howe Award. We recognize Marian for her civic involvement in the Valley over many decades, and for her true heart of philanthropy. We continue to learn from this woman, and so her work has merited her to earn the Dr. John Ireland Howe Award. Program made possible through generous sponsorship of the Valley Community Foundation.
The Derby Historical Society is a regional historical society dedicated to preserving, maintaining and celebrating the rich and varied history of the Lower Naugatuck Valley.
