Massaro Farm and the AnSeOx Rotary Club teamed up last month to plant vegetables at the Salvation Army community garden in Ansonia.
One of over two dozen gardens in the region, the Ansonia garden is supported by local philanthropy to provide fresh vegetables to the local community.
For questions or to volunteer, contact Massaro Farm or the Ansonia Salvation Army. The garden work by the AnSeOx Rotary Club was part of a State-wide ‘Day of Caring’ effort orchestrated each year by CT Rotary District 7980.
The Club also purchased and donated a storage shed for the property.
The AnSeOx Rotary Club meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at Rose’s Family Restaurant in Oxford at 5:00 PM.
Guests are welcomed and invited to visit with the members without obligation. Reservations are not necessary, but notice may be given via the Club’s website: www.anseoxrotary.org .
Speakers are also welcomed, and can request a date through the website.
