Ansonia Cops Seized 6 Pounds Of Marijuana Last Week

Ansonia police seized just under six pounds of marijuana last week while investigating a report of a domestic complaint.

Police Chief Kevin Hale announced the seizure Tuesday night at a meeting of the Board of Aldermen.

According to Ansonia Police Lt. Andrew Cota, cops were called to 29 Condon Drive about 3:15 a.m. Jan. 11 on a report of a domestic complaint and ended up locating the drugs.”

Police have not released more info, saying they’re still working the case.

This is still an active case because we are doing more work on it,” Cota wrote in an e‑mail. There have been no arrests as of yet.”
