A waiting area for Metro-North riders was damaged yesterday after a man driving a large Ford pick-up truck backed into it.
No one was in the booth at the time.
The crash happened at about 12:51 at the Ansonia train station on West Main Street.
The driver, while in reverse, managed to drive over a curb, onto the grass, through a bush and into the booth.
The driver, a Seymour resident, was incapacitated and was put into an ambulance at 1:10 p.m.
Ansonia police believe the driver suffered from some sort of medical episode while at the wheel.
Police from the Metropolitan Transit Authority responded and took pictures of the booth, its glass shattered and metal frame bent.
