A woman was taken to the hospital after a two-car crash on the Maple Street bridge Wednesday morning.
The bridge was closed to traffic for about 30 minutes.
Police said the woman, who had been driving one of the cars, was awake and alert at the scene, but complaining of pain.
The accident occurred about 9:30 a.m. Police closed the bridge as firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.
The bridge was back open to traffic by about 10 a.m.
Ansonia Police Lt. Andrew Cota said in an e‑mail Wednesday morning that the crash is under investigation.
Both vehicles involved in the crash were towed from the scene.
No enforcement action has been taken yet, Cota said.
