Ansonia Dedicates Missile Site

About 70 people turned out Saturday (Nov. 28) for the dedication of a former Cold War missile site in Ansonia, the Connecticut Post reported.

Many of those in attendance had served at the property, off of Ford Street, when it housed 18 nuclear-tipped missiles meant to intercept Soviet bombers in the event of a war.

Mayor David Cassetti led a ceremony at the site during which two plaques were dedicated to the veterans who served there.
