ANSONIA — The following information was sent Friday by the City of Ansonia:

The City of Ansonia through the Office of Mayor Cassetti, the Ansonia Police Department, the Ansonia Fire Department and Ansonia Rescue Medical Service announces the availability of charging for cell phones, water filling and ice for Ansonia residents experiencing utility outages at their homes.

The station will be available 24 hours a day from 2:00 pm on Friday, August 7th until 4:00 pm Monday August 10th at the Ansonia Rescue Medical Services Headquarters, 22 West Main St, Ansonia CT 06401 (tan building with blue roof behind Target).

• Charging Station: is located under the blue tent in the front of the building. Please bring your charging cable with your device.

• Ice: a white cooler is also located outside of the charging area. Ice will be replenished as needed while supplies last.

• Water: a hose is located by the overhead garage door.

Residents are required to practice social distancing and wear a mask while utilizing the stations.

Residents are asked to park in the front parking spots, noted by orange cones.

Please do not block the overhead bay doors as Ambulances routinely enter and exit for emergencies

If you need specific assistance, please call the Ansonia Police Department Dispatch Center at 203 735‑1885 and a member of the Emergency Operations Center will respond back to you. The City of Ansonia is not able to provide restoration time estimates; however, we are in constant contact with our partners at UI and are assured crews are diligently working on restoration.
