Ansonia is gearing up for the 7th annual Harvest Festival, scheduled for Saturday.
The event will include vendors along Main Street, a scarecrow-making contest, a pumpkin carving contest for students, kids amusement rides, musical entertainment and food.
Last year about 90 vendors set up booths along Main Street, and organizers anticipate similar attendance this year.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct 2.
Students in Ansonia schools are invited to participate in the pumpkin carving contest, with categories for originality, funniest, best costume, scariest and skill.
The pumpkins will be on display at Veterans Park and will be judged by the Valley Arts Council.

The event is being organized by the Ansonia Cultural Commission and the Ansonia Rotary Club.
