Ansonia Mayor David Cassetti and the city’s Aldermen Tuesday (Jan. 14) honored a national championship youth cheerleading squad at their regular monthly meeting.
The Ansonia Youth Cheerleading’s Division 8 squad took their division title, and the national grand championship, last month at the AYC National Championships in Lakeland, Fla.
“You have made us all proud,” Cassetti said to the cheerleaders and their coaches, before recognizing each one individually.
“Congratulations to all of you,” the mayor said before leading the audience in a loud round of applause.
