Ansonia Housing Authority Eyes Interim Director

HANH photoThe Ansonia Housing Authority Board of Commissioners will meet on Wednesday (Jan. 25) to talk about an interim executive director.

On an agenda for the meeting, the interim hire is listed as Jim Miller — the current deputy director of the Housing Authority of New Haven.

Ansonia Housing Authority Board of Commissioners Chairman James Tyma was unable to be reached for comment Tuesday.

The board has been searching for an interim director since previous Executive Director James Finnucan resigned on Dec. 28.

Finnucan made $104,978 a year.

His resignation came 27 days after the housing authority Board of Commissioners fired its compliance coordinator, Tiffany Reeves.

Members of the commission and the housing authority’s attorney won’t say what prompted the changes.

Housing authority meeting minutes show the actions came after an investigation brought on by unspecified allegations of a employee.

On Wednesday, the Board of Commissioners will discuss “retention of Interim Executive Director” according to the agenda.

A message seeking comment was left with Miller in New Haven Tuesday evening. Click here to read a New Haven Independent article about a recent project Miller oversaw in New Haven.

The Board of Commissioners meeting is scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. at the Housing Authority office at 36 Main St. in Ansonia.
