ANSONIA – An 11-year-old student was arrested Oct. 2 for allegedly carrying a knife on a school bus.
A school bus driver discovered the concealed weapon and contacted police at about 3:30 p.m.
Police said the child had not displayed the knife in a threatening manner.
“The child, age 11, was arrested without incident, and there is no concern for the safety of other children at this time,” according to a statement from Ansonia Police Department Lt. Patrick Lynch.
