Ansonia Man Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography

ANSONIAPolice announced Thursday (March 6) that they arrested an Ansonia man in connection to a child pornography investigation.

Joseph Alfano, 28, was arrested March 5 and charged with first-degree possession of child sex abuse material, according to a press release. He was held on a $50,000 bond.

According to police, Alfano was arrested after a four-month-long investigation led by Detective Mark Clifford. Police served a search warrant on Alfano Wednesday, which led to his arrest. Evidence is still being examined and may lead to further charges, police said.

Alfano was arraigned March 5, and his next court date is March 20 at Superior Court in Derby.
