Ansonia Man Charged With Robbing Bank

ANSONIA — A 37-year-old Ansonia man was charged Monday with robbing the Ion Bank on Tremont Street Oct. 26.

Michael Tallo is being held on a $250,000 bond. He’s charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree threatening, and third-degree larceny.

The robbery happened just before 1 p.m. on a Tuesday. Police developed Tallo as a suspect quickly, as bank employees said he was a prior customer.

Police gathered probable cause for an arrest warrant, and Tallo was taken into custody Monday (Nov. 8) with the help of New Haven police.
