ANSONIA – Police said they arrested an Ansonia man on multiple charges after crashing a motorcycle that was reported stolen.
Marcise Glover, 44, was involved in a single-vehicle crash on Division Street near Wakelee Avenue at about 3 a.m. on Saturday (Sept. 1), according to a press release. When officers arrived, he said he had been distracted by an incoming phone call, leading to the crash.
Police said that the motorcycle Glover was riding had been reported from Shelton. Additionally, police say they found a 9mm handgun with no serial number in Glover’s backpack, as well as a 9mm round in his pocket.
Glover was arrested and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a pistol, failure to obtain serial number, operating under suspension, distracted driving, and failure to drive right. His bond was set at $150,000, which he posted.
