The Ballers moved to 3 – 0 with a 57 – 53 win over PM Lounge on Thursday night at Mead School.
The Ballers were led by Andre Brooks with 25 points and Adam Hovan helped out with 15.
PM Lounge dropped to 1 – 2. High scorers were “Downtown” Mo Brown with 15 and Eulicio Mendes with 13.
Hard Knocks improved to 2 – 1 after beating the Wet Bandits 63 – 59 in a rivalry game.
Nigel Ingram had a career high 17 points in the win for Hard Knocks, who were aided by new addition Terrance Gatison.
Kenny Tinney had 5 points and 13 rebounds in a solid all-around effort. Sean McGowan was high scorer for the Wet Bandits with 17 points, Terri Goldson, Jr. dropped 14 and “Tuscaloosa” Taylor King added 12.
Phil “The Thrill” Mairano was electrifying off of the Wet Bandits’ bench, hitting two 3 pointers that sent the crowd into a frenzy.
In the opening game of the night, The Boogeymen held off The Legion in a low-scoring affair, 41 – 36. Nick “Dirk” Rivers had 17 points and 8 rebounds.
Wes Robinson paced the young Legion squad with 12 points.
