The police department will receive $30,000 in federal stimulus finds, according to Gov. M. Jodi Rell’s office.
The money will be used for traffic control and traffic enforcement, according to a press release sent out by the governor’s staff Friday.
The money may be used to cover overtime shifts.
“The funds allow local governments to bolster public safety without shifting the burden to local taxpayers,” Rell said in a prepared statement.
