ANSONIA – Here are some highlights from the Ansonia Police Department’s calls for service from April 21, 2025 through April 27, 2025.

Monday, April 21, 2025
3:31 a.m. Police conducted a traffic stop on Platt Street/Prindle Avenue.
9:09 a.m. Police arrested a 23-year-old woman on Sixth Street and charged her with second-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, violating a protective order, third-degree assault, and risk of injury to a child.
2:00 p.m. Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Kingston Drive/Main Street.
7:58 p.m. A caller on Franklin Street reported a stolen motor vehicle.

8:46 a.m. Police were called for prisoner transport.
2:55 p.m. Police received a report of a structure fire on Tremont Street.
6:00 p.m. A caller on W. Main Street reported a shoplifting incident.

9:50 a.m. Police were alerted to a structure fire on Sunset Drive.
2:26 p.m. Police were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Main Street.
3:56 p.m. A caller reported illegal parking on Clarkson Street.
6:09 p.m. A caller reported disorderly conduct on W. Main Street. Police arrived and charged a 54-year-old Bridgeport woman with breach of peace.

4:14 a.m. Police arrested a 28-year-old man on Main Street and charged him with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.
9:13 a.m. Police were called to a motor vehicle accident on Finney Street.
4:16 p.m. A caller reported theft from a motor vehicle on Westfield Avenue.
7:38 p.m. Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on N. Main Street.

8:15 a.m. A caller on Wakelee Avenue lodged a feline complaint.
9:44 a.m. Police conducted a traffic stop on Bridge Street.
3:02 p.m. Police responded to a civil matter on Fifth Street.

12:25 a.m. Police responded to a report of a street takeover on Wakelee Avenue. No arrests were made.
9:31 a.m. A caller on Beaver Street reported hazardous road conditions.
11:40 a.m. A caller on Arbor Terrace lodged a wildlife complaint.
5:08 p.m. Police charged a 29-year-old woman on N. State Street with driving on a suspended license and distracted driving.
11:32 p.m. Police received a report of vandalism on Platt Street.

12:31 a.m. Police were called to assist another agency at Seymour’s Tri-Town Plaza.
4:46 a.m. Police received a report of trespassing from W. Main Street.
9:39 a.m. Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on N. Main Street.
4:40 p.m. A caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Hill Street, but police determined it to be an unsubstantiated incident.
5:53 p.m. Police received a feline complaint from Main Street.
