Ansonia police received 318 calls for service and made eight arrests between Jan. 20 and Jan. 26.
Monday, Jan. 20, 2025
2:39 a.m. A caller reported suspicious activity on Page Street. Police reported that it was unsubstantiated.
5:29 p.m. Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Clifton Avenue.
7:41 p.m. Police arrested a 36-year-old man on Ford Road and charged him with driving under the influence, third-degree criminal mischief, and failure to drive in the proper lane.
Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025
5:40 a.m. A 41-year-old man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
12:07 p.m. Police responded to the scene of an accident on Prindle Avenue and Pulaski Highway.
10:59 p.m. A caller reported suspicious activity on North State Street. Upon arrival, officers found that a medical assist was needed.
Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025
3:04 a.m. Police made two arrests on Pershing Drive. A 40-year-old man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, use of drug paraphernalia, and sixth-degree larceny. A 45-year-old woman was also arrested, and charged with sixth-degree larceny.
8:30 a.m. A caller reported an odor of gas on Scotland Street.
5:20 p.m. Hazardous road conditions were reported on Platt Street.

11:25 a.m. A caller made a wildlife complaint on Rose Hill Avenue.
4:14 p.m. Police responded to a report of shoplifting on West Main Street. No arrests were made.
5:44 p.m. Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Division Street.
Friday, Jan. 24, 2025
6:41 p.m. Police arrested a 39-year-old man on Hubbell Avenue and charged him with disorderly conduct.
12:53 p.m. A caller reported illegal parking on Colony Street.
1:08 p.m. Police received a report of theft from a motor vehicle on Francis Street.
Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025
1:30 a.m. Police served an arrest warrant to a 24-year-old man on Woodbridge Avenue. The man was charged with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct, and risk of injury to a child.
10:35 a.m. Police responded to a juvenile matter on North State Street.
8:52 p.m. Police arrested a 50-year-old man on Main Street and charged him with first-degree forgery and criminal attempt at third-degree larceny.
Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025
2:26 p.m. Cops responded to a one-vehicle accident on Woodbridge Avenue, where a car had crashed into a telephone pole and snapped it in half. One person was taken to the hospital.
2:57 p.m. Police were dispatched to the scene of a house fire on Howard Avenue.
3:08 p.m. Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Grove Street and Howard Avenue.
