Ansonia police received 329 calls for service and made 12 arrests between June 9, 2025 and June 15, 2025.

Monday, June 9, 2025

7:55 a.m. A caller on Jackson Street reported vandalism.

1:34 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop near Franklin Street and Wakelee Avenue. A 53-year-old Seymour man was charged with failing to obey a stop sign and driving on a suspended license.

3:29 p.m. An officer responded to a report of shoplifting on W. Main Street. Police charged a 32-year-old East Haven woman with sixth-degree larceny.

4:56 p.m. Police arrested a 25-year-old Bridgeport man, charging him with animal cruelty.

6:49 p.m. A caller on Main Street reported a possible weapon law violation to police.

Tuesday, June 10, 2025

12:36 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop on Pulaski Highway.

8:44 p.m. Police arrested a 24-year-old Oxford man and charged him with evading responsibility in an accident, driving without a license, and passing on the right illegally.

9:00 p.m. A caller on Ford Street lodged an animal complaint.

9:12 p.m. Police received a report of harassment from Wesley Street.

Wednesday, June 11, 2025

7:24 a.m. Police responded to a motor vehicle accident near Beaver Street and Myrtle Avenue.

9:16 a.m. Police charged a 33-year-old woman with driving an unregistered vehicle, driving with a suspended license, and using an electronic device while driving.

10:13 p.m. Police received a report of drunkenness on Main Street.

Thursday, June 12, 2025

5:25 a.m. Police arrested a 22-year-old woman from Feeding Hills, Mass., and charged her with first-degree riot, conspiracy to commit riot, interfering with an officer, and risk of injury to a child. The arrest was in connection to an investigation of an April street takeover in Ansonia, police said.

5:59 a.m. Police were assisting another agency on N. State Street, according to log records. Police later said on Facebook that inspectors from the U.S. Postal Inspection Service were in town conducting an investigation.

7:54 a.m. Police were contacted regarding a possible burglary on Howard Avenue.

8:32 a.m. A caller reported illegal parking on Grove Street.

Friday, June 13, 2025

1:13 a.m. A caller reported suspicious activity on Main Street. A responding officer found an open door or window.

9:00 a.m. Police arrested a 37-year-old Stratford man on Rockwood Avenue and charged him with five counts of violating a protective order, plus three counts of failing to make court appearances. 

6:59 p.m. Police attempted to stop a motor vehicle near Burke Street and Hodge Avenue.

Saturday, June 14, 2025

3:53 p.m. Police arrested a 46-year-old man at a High Street home, charging him with third-degree larceny, three counts of violating his probation and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

5:26 p.m. At the same home on High Street, police arrested a 45-year-old woman and charged her with possession of a controlled substance.

10:01 p.m. Police arrested a 28-year-old man and charged him with two counts of violating a protective order and two counts of first-degree trespassing.

Sunday, June 15, 2025

3:13 a.m. Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on E. Main Street. They arrested a 34-year-old New Haven man on the scene and charged him with driving under the influence, driving without insurance, and failure to drive in the proper lane.

7:30 a.m. A caller on Vine Street reported illegal parking.

7:23 p.m. Police arrested a 21-year-old Bridgeport woman and charged her with second-degree breach of peace.

7:42 p.m. Police responded to a reported weapon law violation on Great Hill Road.

11:25 p.m. A caller reported disorderly conduct near Howard Avenue and Jackson Street.
