ANSONIA – Here are some highlights from the Ansonia Police Department’s calls for service from May 26, 2025 through June 1, 2025.

Ansonia police received 327 calls for service and made 11 arrests between May 26, 2025 and June 1, 2025.
Monday, May 26, 2025
12:01 a.m. Police arrested a 40-year-old woman on S. Cliff Street and charged her with three counts of assault on a public safety official, second-degree breach of peace, and disorderly conduct.
4:11 p.m. A caller on Rockwood Avenue lodged an animal complaint.
4:34 p.m. Police arrested a 47-year-old man on Larovera Terrace and charged him with third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
8:58 p.m. Police responded to a report of shoplifting from W. Main Street. A 61-year-old Shelton woman was charged with sixth-degree larceny.

7:46 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop on Howard Avenue, issuing a misdemeanor summons.
12:01 p.m. Police received a ‘lost and found’ call from Benz Street.
5:45 p.m. Police arrested a 34-year-old man on Fifth Street, charging him with three counts of possession of a controlled substance.
6:38 p.m. A caller on Vine Street reported an abandoned motor vehicle.

9:12 a.m. Police were called concerning a juvenile matter on Nolan Road.
11:26 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop on Beaver Street.
12:15 p.m. A caller on Main Street reported a trespassing.
7:10 p.m. Police charged a 48-year-old Shelton man with sixth-degree larceny on W. Main Street.

7:37 a.m. Police served two search warrants.
10:41 a.m. Police arrested a 36-year-old Hartford man on Elizabeth Street, charging him with second-degree breach of peace and stalking.
12:15 p.m. Police arrested a 28-year-old man on Elizabeth Street, charging him with third-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct.
6:16 p.m. Police charged a 20-year-old man with sixth-degree larceny on W. Main Street.
8:57 p.m. Police received a report of illegal parking on Root Avenue.

12:56 a.m. Police arrested a 63-year-old Bridgeport man on Pershing Drive and charged him with possession of a controlled substance and use of drug paraphernalia. Police also charged him with stealing license plates, driving with a suspended license, driving without registration, and driving without insurance.
2:17 a.m. Police were alerted to a car fire on Star Street.
10:02 a.m. Police were called to Jewett Street to investigate possible wire fraud.
6:15 p.m. Police were called concerning a juvenile matter on Lester Street.

12:31 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop near Jewett Street and Platt Street.
7:17 a.m. A caller reported a burglary on Crescent Street.
11:47 a.m. Police were alerted to an odor of burning on Jackson Street.
8:10 p.m. Police charged a 38-year-old woman with three counts of failing to appear in court.
8:34 p.m. Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on N. Main Street. Police arrested a 49-year-old woman on the scene and charged her with driving under the influence and traveling unreasonably fast.

8:05 a.m. A caller on High Street reported a stolen motor vehicle.
1:31 p.m. Police received a report of disorderly conduct on Bridge Street and Main Street.
10:01 p.m. A caller on Byron Avenue reported suspicious activity.
11:47 p.m. Police conducted a traffic stop on Main Street and W. Main Street.
