ANSONIA — The investigation into a parking lot shooting is progressing, Lt. Patrick Lynch told The Valley Indy on Tuesday.
“We are continuing to investigate and we anticipate making an arrest,” Lynch said.
An arrest warrant was written and has been submitted to the court, Lynch said.
On June 22, police received a report of shots fired at about 6:30 p.m. in a parking lot on Main Street between Rite Aid and Marshall’s.
The incident started as a road rage incident on Main Street.
The first officers on scene found a man on the ground, shot. His wounds were not major, police said.
Police noted that “all involved parties remained at the scene,” but could not elaborate because of the nature of the investigation.
Lynch also said police interviewed at least one eyewitness who was at the scene.
Police said more information will be released once the arrest warrant is approved and used.
