The Ansonia Police Department is investigating an assault that happened on Lester Street at about 12:15 p.m. Monday.
Police said two females got into an argument and one hit the other on the head with an object — although it’s not clear exactly what, according to department spokesman Lt. Wayne Williams.
The victim, who was not named, was transported to Griffin Hospital with non-life threatening head injuries.
Police know who the other person involved in the fight is, but haven’t spoken with her yet, Williams said.
Police are also waiting for a statement from the victim, Williams said.
No one has been arrested at this point, and no other details were available as of Monday afternoon.
