Ansonia Police Investigate Stabbing

Ansonia police are investigating a stabbing, but they don’t have much to go on.

According to Ansonia Police Department spokesman Lt. Andrew Cota, police received a call from a residence on Lester Street at about 12:30 a.m. Friday.

A 21-year-old man had been stabbed. However, the victim refused to cooperate with police, Cota said.

The victim was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital. His injuries did not appear to be life threatening.

Cota said because of the lack of information, investigators can’t say for sure whether the crime happened in Ansonia.

The victim arrived at the house in Ansonia in a car, apparently already stabbed.
