ANSONIA — City police are investigating two recent reports of shots fired, Lt. Patrick Lynch said Friday evening.
There was a report of shots fired on Water Street Thursday night (Sept. 3), but no one was injured. Shell casings were recovered at the scene, but no victims were located.
Police are investigating. Water Street is a small road connecting Main Street to West Main Street, not far from Ansonia Rescue & Medical Services.
Lynch said there was also a report of shots fired Aug. 2, near the intersection of West Main Street and Bridge Street. Again, no victims but shell casings were recovered.
Both cases remain under investigation.
