ANSONIA — The whereabouts of Vanessa Morales, the 1‑year-old child missing since Nov. 29, is still unknown, police said Thursday (Jan. 2).

Bridgeport police contacted Ansonia police at 8 p.m. Jan. 1 to let them know of a possible sighting of Vanessa at Bridgeport Hospital. Police reviewed video footage and determined the child was not Vanessa, according to a prepared statement by Lt. Patrick Lynch.

“Detectives were able to identify and make contact with the people in the video. The child in the video was not Vanessa Morales,” Lynch said.
