Ansonia Police Search For Gas Station Robbers

ANSONIA — Police are looking for two suspects who robbed a gas station on Main Street on Monday night.

Police said the two suspects entered the Main Street Shell Station at about 11:15 p.m. on April 3. One of the suspects pulled a gun and threatened the store clerk. Police said cash and cigars were stolen.

The clerk was not hurt.

The suspect fled in a stolen Chevy Cruz, which was found later by police. The vehicle was impounded and processed for evidence, police said.

Surveillance video showed and the clerk described the suspect as a black male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall wearing a black zippered jacket, a light colored surgical mask and carrying a handgun,” according to a prepared statement from Ansonia police.
