Ansonia Residents Honored For Volunteering At YMCA

CONTRIBUTEDThe Central Connecticut Coast YMCA recently presented a YMCA Adult Volunteer of the Year Award to Mary Brozak and a YMCA Youth Volunteer of the Year Award to Lexi Brinkmann, both residents of Ansonia, for their commitment to the Valley YMCA, a Branch of the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA.

Mary Brozak has been a member of the Valley Y for many years who donates her time, talent and network to help others at the Y. From painting our ladies locker room and soliciting for donations, Mary just doesn’t give up when it comes to the Y.

Lexi Brinkmann is an excellent swimmer and shares her passion with others through our swim lesson program. She has been a volunteer teacher on Saturday mornings. She loves teaching the children and they excel in her classes.

The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA Volunteer of the Year Awards are a way to honor the generosity and dedication of the best of the best. The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA has more than 834 committed volunteers who, in 2014, donated 32,439 hours of their time in our service area. They serve as an integral part of our team, playing a critical role in helping us carry out our mission.
