Ansonia Schools Close Three Classrooms After Positive COVID-19 Test

ANSONIA — Ansonia Public Schools announced Wednesday that a person within the school system had tested positive for COVID-19.

The individual was last in the district Tuesday, Oct. 6, according to a letter from Superintendent Joseph DiBacco.

We have isolated this to being specific to two pre‑k classrooms located in the modulars at Ansonia Middle School and to one classroom at Mead School,” the superintendent wrote. Under the advisement of our local health department, the three classrooms are being closed for 14 days.”

Ansonia schools previously reported a COVID-19 case within the district on Sept. 24.
