Ansonia Update W/Mayor Cassetti, John Marini And Sheila O’Malley

John Marini and Sheila O’Malley, and, late in the broadcast, a busy Mayor David Cassetti, talk about closing the city’s river walk Monday because people weren’t following social distance guidelines.

Marini is the Ansonia corporation counsel. O’Malley is Ansonia’s economic development director and grant writer.

In addition, Marini and O’Malley talk about a virtual town hall meeting happening 7 p.m. Tuesday hosted by Mayor Cassetti’s administration. The meeting will be held using the Zoom video conferencing software. Click here for more information.

The focus of this Town Hall will be on the City’s ongoing response to the COVID-19 health crisis,” according to a Facebook post. Participants can look forward to hearing updates from Police Chief Cota, Ansonia Rescue Medical Services and the Ansonia Fire Department.”

O’Malley then talks about the loan and response programs being rolled out by the federal government to help small businesses that have bene badly hurt economically by the medically-induced COVID-19 lockdown.
