The fire truck, driven by volunteer firefighter Scott C. Foster, had its lights and sirens on as it approached the intersection of Main and Kingston, the accident report states.
The truck was heading south on Main Street to respond to an alarm at 435 East Main St., the fire chief said after the accident.
Firefighters had to use the jaws of life to free Boroski from the wreckage.
She was taken to Bridgeport Hospital with “non-life threatening” injuries.
Foster was not injured.
Boroski told police the light was yellow and that she saw the truck coming but it was too late to stop, according to the accident report.
Three witnesses said they saw Boroski run a red light into the fire truck’s path.
Police gave Boroski a ticket for failure to obey traffic signal.
Boroski’s lawyer, O’Brien, did not return calls for comment.
A message was left seeking comment with Mayor James Della Volpe.
