Arrest Warrant Details Child Porn Case Against Oxford Man

Computers belonging to an Oxford man arrested last week contained more than 200 images of suspected child pornography — including lewd photos of a female relative between the ages of 3 and 5, an arrest warrant application states.

Southbury police arrested Robert Bizewski, 42, June 8 and charged him with first-degree risk of injury to a child and first-degree possession of child pornography.

The charges came after Bizewski was first arrested in July 2010 after allegedly meeting online and making arrangements to meet Niki,” a Naugatuck police officer posing as a 14-year-old girl. Four felony charges from that case are still pending.

Police seized several of Bizewski’s computers after the arrest. A detective from the Monroe Police Department was brought in to conduct a forensic exam of Bizewski’s computers in February.

The Monroe detective pulled off enough images of suspected child porn to fill two DVDs, according to an arrest warrant application.

Those DVDs were handed over to Southbury Police Officer Christpher Grillo, who specializes in crimes involving the Internet and children.

Grillo, through interviewing Bizewski and a relative, believes one of the children is related to Bizewski, according to the arrest warrant application.

A message seeking comment was left with Jason Musante, an attorney representing Bizewski.

In addition to the images — some videos — police also seized notebooks from Bizewski’s bedroom.

In addition to URLs of websites thought to contain child pornography, a page of the notebook contained search terms popular with child pornographers, such as PTHC,” which stands for pre-teen hardcore” and PEDO.”

Bizewski allegedly told police he remembered writing the terms down because he found them on his computer and did not know what they were,” according to the warrant.

In addition, police said Bizewski posted an ad on Craigslist titled small female for $$$$ (Ct).” However, the warrant does not elaborate on the Craigslist post.

In all, 250 image files of suspected child porn were taken from three computers and one hard drive, along with 82 videos and 134 images of what police called child erotica.”

Bizewski, who is married, is due in court July 26.
