State police are looking for a white male who attempted to rob the Mobil gas station convenience store on Route 67 in Oxford Wednesday night.
The man, who appeared to be in his early 20s, entered the store just after 8 p.m. and implied he had a weapon, according to State Police Trooper Michael Dogali.
The suspect was chased out of the store, Dogali said, and fled the scene on foot.
Dogali said it’s not clear who chased the suspect out of the store. Police were still at the scene investigating as of 10 p.m., Dogali said.
No one was injured.
Police are looking for a man with facial hair, who left the scene wearing a red shirt and white hat.
The gas station is located on Route 67, near the Seymour line. The parking lot of the gas station was the scene of a police stand-off last May.
Seymour police assisted the state police in their investigation Wednesday evening.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call State Police at (203) 267‑2200.
