19 Valley organizations will be holding their second annual back-to-school giveaway at the Nolan Field parking lot in Ansonia at 11:30 a.m., Aug. 17.
Bookbags and other school supplies will be given away for as long as supplies last, and free pizza will be provided for the kids by Casa Bianca. Children must be accompanied by a parent. All families are eligible, regardless of town.
The following was sent in an email from Pound Tha Ground RC:
“You thought last yr was great well you haven’t seen anything yet this yr is going to be the BIGGEST one YET 19 Organizations all coming together for 1 Cause and that’s to make sure YOU have all the supplies you need for YOUR Future Dr’s, Engineers , Scientists and More.
Come and meet all the different organizations that want to make sure you have all that you need for the ones we love the most.
Also come and enjoy some good music, basketball court, splash pad, some super soaker fun (bring clothes we can get wet in if you want, plus your water guns), free food, and more.
There is NO town restrictions. All are welcome.”
