SEYMOUR — A 37-year-old man from Beacon Falls was killed in a car crash on Route 8 Thursday night (June 5).
State police said Daniel Popiolek was driving his 2010 Subaru Legacy north on Route 8 near exit 18 when he lost control of the vehicle, which rolled over and collided with a light pole. He was ejected from the vehicle.
The crash is under investigation. State police asked any witnesses or anyone with information — such as a dash cam footage — to call 203 393 4200 or to email [email protected].
The crash was reported at about 6:54 p.m. The highway was closed while police investigated.
