Echo Hose Ambulance Corps will present a Bike Safety and Awareness event May 18 at the Riverwalk in Shelton.
Bike safety skills will be taught by the Echo Hose Ambulance Bike Team, along with an appearance by the Renegade Knights.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The rain date will be May 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event will educate Shelton youth on proper safety equipment when riding. There will be a presentation on the various signs and safety signals to use while riding.
Participants will also have the opportunity to complete a bike course using the skills learned.
We will be encouraging healthy activities and provide healthy snacks as well: iced tea, lemonade, apple and orange slices, and bananas.
