Blake: Crisco, Gentile Support Firefighters

Many of you, like me, cannot wait for Election Day to come and be over so that we can get back to some semblance of normalcy. However, it is important that we not forget that while there is an opportunity to select a new President of the United States of America, there are also important votes that have as much, if not more, of an impact at home.

Senator Joe Crisco (17th District) and Representative Linda Gentile (104th District) are running for re-election this year. Both have been there for many years and have a proven track record of getting things done in Hartford. This is especially true when it comes to our safety. Both have asked Governor Daniel Malloy to support the local firefighters and move forward with the construction of the Valley Fire School.

Training of firefighters is critical to enable that they are prepared to respond to any emergency that they may be called to at any time of the day or night. Many of the communities that Joe and Linda represent have volunteer fire departments which saves thousands of dollars for the local communities. Voting for Senator Crisco and Representative Gentile will continue those savings while at the same time provide the funding for the necessary training required to do this job.

The decision is clear. Reelect Senator Crisco and Representative Gentile on Tuesday, November 8th so that they can continue to do their good work for our community.
