Students at Shelton Intermediate School have been evacuated and moved to Shelton High School after a bomb threat Friday morning.

Police are investigating the threat, which came in the form of a note found written on a wall at the school at about 11:40 a.m.

Fire and police officials are at the Constitution Boulevard school now investigating, according to Detective Ben Trabka.

Police believe the threat is in response to Thursday’s evacuation and early dismissal of Shelton High School, Trabka said.

School officials found a note at the high school Thursday morning that mentioned a bomb threat.

That’s what our thought is, that it’s a copy cat,” Trabka said. The kids saw that the other school got out early so they figured they should do the same.”

Bomb sniffing dogs swept the high school Thursday, Trabka said, and found nothing.

The Intermediate School students are at the high school while officials investigate the latest threat, Trabka said. It’s not clear if there will be an early dismissal.
