The members of the Boys and Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley, Shelton and Ansonia units, joined together recently to bowl for a cause.
The 1st Annual Bowl-A-Thon was held at Milford Bowling Lanes, with the Keystone Club and the Torch Club bowling three games.
The two clubs promote youth leadership and community service efforts, with support from local business througout the area.
Proceeds from the bowl-a-thon will go for our clubs to attend Regional and national conferances, and will be used for our national project, Be Great, Go Green, in which we will be planting trees and donating to a conservation orgainization.
We want to thank all of our business friends and sponsors for their generous pledges.
“Without their help and support, we would not have had such successful first bowl-a-thon, and had as much fun as we did” said club presidents, Jenna Hoffman and Jade Anderson.
