Buddhist Temple To Host Interfaith Thanksgiving

On Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. the Phuoc Long Buddhist Temple at 14 Noth Cliff St. in Ansonia will host an annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service.

Planning the service is Hau Bui, assisted by the nearby Assumption Church. Presiding at the service will be the Most Venerable Thich Minh Duc.

Everyone is invited to attend.

Phuoc Long Buddhist Temple started simply enough, in a first floor apartment in Bridgeport where Buddhist practitioners could meet with a monk, in 1997.

With perseverance, the congregation subsequently renovated a 5,000-square-foot Victiorian-era building, also in Bridgeport, and that temple served the community well with Buddhist practice and Vietnamese culture events for the next 12 years, until the move to the current location in September 2009.
