Our wonderful PTA provided our fourth graders with an incredible program presented by writer Donato J. D’Albis.
Mr. D’Albis has spent time in each grade 4 classroom developing a love of writing in our students. He has brought narrative writing to life through his examples and enthusiastic attitude. Mr. D’Albis has been instilling the importance of “showing, not telling” when the students write.
He has also been conferencing with the teachers, providing insight as to how to weave his work into our current practice.
The PTA Book Fair was an enormous success. There were so many books to choose from for all grade levels. Choices included fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, and lots more. What a wonderful way to begin the new school year and encourage reading in our students.
Our incredible PTA chairpersons, Nicole Liedke, Trish Orlando, and Carie Sand did such a fantastic job organizing and overseeing the Book Fair.
Bungay Elementary School would also like to thank the PTA volunteers for their time and patience in helping Bungay students pick out the perfect books and making the Book Fair so special!
