Bungay School in Seymour is holding a pet food drive through from May 27.
All items will benefit the Seymour Animal Shelter.
Some of the items requested by the animal shelter were wet and dry dog and cat food, old towels and blankets, cleaning supplies, flea and tick medicine, pet toys, and dog treats.
Students in grades pre‑k through five are participating in this drive, as well as teachers and staff. The pet food drive was sparked as a “One School One Read” activity. This year’s “One School One Read” is “Charlotte’s Web,” which involves Wilbur, the pig, a very important pet. Not all pets are treated with kindness like Wilbur and they need homes.
Local animal shelters help support these pets with little funds. It’s our job as a school community to help supply local animal shelters.
