The case Thursday against a deputy U.S. Marshal involved in a domestic dispute in Shelton was continued until Oct. 6.
Rafael Garcia was due in Milford Superior Court Thursday, but a lack of available judges forced a continuance.
The charges against him are first-degree assault, first- degree criminal attempt to commit assault and criminal attempt to commit assault on a police officer.
Garcia, 41, is accused of ramming a police cruiser after a violent confrontation with his girlfriend in Shelton last month.
