Ansonia Mayor David Cassetti invites all city residents to attend a “Mayor’s Night Out” informational meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at Prendergast School.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. The school is located at 59 Finney St.
“This is the perfect opportunity for residents to connect directly with their public officials and get a candid update on the progress being made in City Hall,” said Mayor Cassetti. “I am also looking forward to publicly introducing some recent additions to our team, including Constituent Service Director Rich Dziekan, Public Works Superintendent Mike D’Alessio and Land Use Administrator Ronda Porrini.”
In particular, Mayor Cassetti intends to spotlight two new public services initiatives debuting this year: the Office of Constituent Services, dedicated to better addressing resident concerns and complaints, and the reconstituted Land-Use Department, which will be offering full-time services to residents and business seeking building and zoning permits. The Land-Use Department also plays a critical role in city’s aggressive efforts to crack down on blight and illegal apartments.
The topic of snow removal and winter parking rules will also be addressed, along with information about the upcoming budget process.
Members of the Ansonia Board of Aldermen, City Department Heads and Block Watch organizers will be on hand to answer resident questions and concerns.
“I look forward to seeing Ansonia residents on Jan. 26,” said Mayor Cassetti. “We have a lot of great information to share with the people.”
