Food Trucks On The River Expands To Two Days In Shelton

SHELTON — Celebrate Shelton is pleased to announce Food Trucks on the River taking place on Friday, May 31st from 5pm — 10pm and Saturday June 1st from noon — 8pm located at Veterans Memorial Park in Downtown Shelton. There is a rain date for Sunday June 2nd. Food Trucks on the River will boast diverse cuisines with 25+ food trucks per day, live music, mobile bar including craft brews, wine, specialty cocktails and mocktails sponsored by New Belgium Brewing Company and LoveLou Wines, handmade artisan vendors, flash tattoos from Silence is Golden and much more!

We are excited to continue bringing fun, inclusive events to Downtown Shelton for all families to enjoy,” noted Michael Skrtic and Nicole Heriot-Mikula, co-founders of Celebrate Shelton.

This event is free to attend, with a $5 suggested donation per person . We have brought the best of Connecticut’s food trucks and unique programming together for an amazing weekend,” said Jimmy Tickey, co-creator of Celebrate Shelton.

With a new addition on Friday of Arts & Activities Night: After Dark” geared towards adults, options include Paint and Sip with The Giggling Pig Shelton, candle making with The Clay Date, succulent sand art with Fairfield Craft Social, floral design arrangements with Oxford Blooms Flower Farm and Vision Board w/ Radical Healing. The Listening Lounge @ The Bar kicks off with Bryan Titus at 5:00pm, Chrissy Gardner at 6:30pm, and Benny Mikula at 8:00pm to close off the evening.

Mini-golf will be a new attraction and families can enjoy a 12-hole of golf at $7 per person on Friday.

On Saturday, children’s assemblies @ Pavilion include a Circus show with Timbalanced Entertainment, hula hoops with BringtheHoopla and a STEM workshop with Discovery Museum plus face painting, glitter tattoos, and henna! The Main Stage music line-up highlights CT artists all day: Riley Johnson at noon, CT State Troubadour Kala Farnham with Jay Margolin at 1:00pm, The Moonrise Cartel at 2:30pm, Hitch and the Giddyup at 4:00pm, and Jen Durkin and the Business at 6:00pm.

In conjunction with the City of Shelton, there will be a LGBTQ Pride Flag Raising Ceremony on Saturday, June 1st at 2:00pm at the Derby-Shelton Rotary Pavilion.
