SHELTON — Celebrate Shelton is pleased to continue Downtown Sounds at the Veterans Memorial Park this summer. The 10th Annual Downtown Sounds Summer Concert presented by Celebrate Shelton and Liberty Bank will be held on Friday July 26th from 5:00pm — 10:00pm. Rain Date is Saturday, July 27th from 5pm-10pm.
“We are thrilled to bring families together again for a special tenth anniversary summer concert,” said Jimmy Tickey, co-creator of Celebrate Shelton.
Gates open at 4:45pm and Kids Hour kicks off with LA’s monstrously entertaining and interactive Kiddle Karoo Show: Monsters Playhouse!
Lineup for the evening is headliner Bella’s Bartok, a unique ensemble that fuses folk, punk, pop and vaudeville with a dash of circus-esque theatrics with direct support by CT’s Drop Party who provides infectious rhythms and soulful funk.
The concerts are free to attend, with a suggested donation of $10 to sustain Celebrate Shelton’s efforts in the community.
In addition to the lineup of music & kids entertainment, there will be an assortment of delicious food trucks with diverse cuisine, a mobile bar featuring Love Lou Wines, Canteen Spirits and craft brews and hard teas from New Belgium Brewing. Food Truck lineup includes: Cricket, Greek Style Grill, Queen Bee Cuisine, Simply Mixx, Texmex Fusion Food Truck, The Melting Truck, Top Shelf Foods Fried Dough and Valley Jim’s Soft Serve, Simply Mixx, A Cupcake for Later and Micalizzi’s Brainfreeze Bar. Downtown Sounds will also have a pop-up market featuring artisans and vendors from throughout the state — this is a great way to shop local!
