A 7‑year-old girl was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle Monday afternoon.
Luckily, the vehicle was moving slowly so the little girl’s injuries are not thought to be serious, police said.
The accident happened at about 2:30 p.m., when the girl stepped onto Emmett Avenue where the vehicle knocked her to the ground.
She suffered some abrasions from hitting the road and was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital as a precaution.
